We met during college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, right in the middle of the pandemic, an unexpected time to meet someone, but maybe that’s what made it all the more meaningful! We started kindling our new relationship throughout summer 2021 while living on opposite sides of the country; James was in New York City, and Amanda was back home in Folsom. Our relationship began with FaceTimes, flights, and lots of differing time zones, but it truly just clicked. A couple months later, we made it official in August of that same year after both arriving back to SLO for our Junior year of college.

James was born in Northern California and has lived in San Luis Obispo, Charlottesville, Virginia, and New York City. Amanda has lived in Folsom for most of her life, aside from her college years in SLO. After we both graduated in winter 2023, James accepted a job as a Planning Engineer with Micron in Boise, and Amanda made the move with him, excited to further her career photographing the stories of a whole new community of people in Idaho.

When we’re not working, we love to explore outdoors, wander through downtown Boise, stop by local cafes and record stores, and go thrifting together!

We’re so excited to bring our wedding to both of our roots in Northern California, surrounded by our favorite season—autumn—in one of our favorite places to enjoy an apple donut and a walk through the vineyard or under the pines. Even more than that, we’re so grateful to have our friends and family from all over the place coming together to celebrate with us for one very special day!
